Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, born on December 27, 1958, in Karachi, Pakistan, is a prominent Pakistani politician who served as the 28th Prime Minister of Pakistan from August 2017 to May 2018. Abbasi hails from a political family, with his father, Khaqan Abbasi, being a prominent businessman and politician.
Abbasi received his early education in Karachi and later attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He then went on to earn a master's degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University.
Abbasi's political career began when he joined the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N), a major political party in Pakistan.
